Independent science writing on ageing and human performance
Longevity Lab is a reader-supported publication. No sponsors. No agenda. Just rigorous, accessible science.
Our mission
The science of longevity has advanced enormously in the last decade. Epigenetic clocks, metabolic biomarkers, cellular senescence, mitochondrial medicine — fields that barely existed in 2010 are now producing clinically actionable findings at a rapid pace.
The problem is signal-to-noise. For every rigorous study on rapamycin or time-restricted eating, there are a hundred influencers selling supplements with no evidence base, a thousand podcast clips taken out of context, and an entire industry built on the anxiety of ageing rather than the science of health.
Longevity Lab exists to be the alternative. We read the papers so you don't have to — and we tell you what they actually say, what's uncertain, and what you can do with the information.
Editorial principles
Evidence first, always
Every claim we make is supported by peer-reviewed research. We cite our sources, we acknowledge uncertainty, and we update articles when the science moves.
No sponsorships, no conflicts
Longevity Lab accepts no advertising, no sponsored content, and no affiliate arrangements that could bias our editorial judgment. Our only allegiance is to accuracy.
Accessible without being shallow
We translate complex science into clear English — without dumbing it down. Readers deserve both rigour and readability.
Practical over theoretical
We care about what you can actually do with the information. Every article ends with actionable takeaways grounded in the evidence.
The team
PhD in molecular biology with a focus on epigenetics and ageing. Former research fellow at the Salk Institute. Writes about biological age, epigenetic clocks, and the cellular mechanisms of healthspan.
MS in Exercise Physiology. Works with elite endurance athletes and longevity-focused clinicians. Writes about training methodology, mitochondrial health, and the intersection of performance and longevity.
